Course Description: JROTC helps you develop your leadership skills while gaining a greater appreciation for the privileges, rights, and responsibilities of citizenship. Not a typical high school class, JROTC is a student-led, activity-oriented class that develops citizenship and responsibility using basic military values of loyalty, duty, responsibility, selfless service, honesty, integrity, and personal responsibility. It promotes academic achievement and teaches basic military concepts – applicable in both militaryand civilian careers. JROTC emphasizes community service, competition in academics and sports, and teamwork.
